March 1947: Wonder Boys

In the postwar world of 1947, with the initial great wave of interest in superheroes already beginning to wane, DC Comics decided to promote its two wonder boys in a full-age house ad.
Robin’s solo stories had replaced the Newsboy Legion as the lead feature in Star-Spangled Comics 65 (Feb. 1947). The next issue, featuring the villain No-Face, is shown here. (I was just thinking that it's too bad Two-Face couldn't have given No-Face one)
Siegel and Shuster’s Superboy had been introduced in More Fun Comics 101 (Feb. 1945), By 1947, the Boy of Steel was into his long run as the Adventure Comics headliner. Here, in Adventure Comics 114 (March 1947), Clark Kent protects a fellow spelling bee winner at Yellowstone National Park.
